Summer Studies By Mary Drew Bult
What is one of the best ways to spend your free time over the summer? Study God’s word, and increase your knowledge of Him! You can do this by sitting on the quiet porch and digging into the Bible on your own. And you can also gather around the dinner table with your family and friends to study. Togeth- er you can ask questions and discuss what you read. The Bible is the most im- portant book ever written! By reading it we can fellowship with our Creator, learn more about who He is, and discover what His plans and purposes are for us. Over the summer, I challenge you to memorize your favorite Bible verses! - pecially in circumstances when we don’t have a copy of the Bible handy. As you mature in Christ, you will begin to observe how your memory verses have impacted your life. I am going to list a few of my favorite verses, which you can memorize if you would like.
“I will praise you, Lord, with all my heart.” -Psalm 138:1
land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail.” (In other words, where God guides, He provides!) -Isaiah 58:11
“The joy of the Lord is your strength.” - Nehemiah 8:10 Pick out a few of your favorite verses. How many can you commit to memory?
“Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.” -Psalm 119:105 Have a spectacular (and safe) summer!

Mostly As: Rainforest Adventure You love to explore outdoors. On a rainforest vacation you’d canoe down murky rivers, hike through the dense forest, and spot countless wild and beautiful animals. Don’t forget your binoculars!
Mostly Bs: Ocean Cruise This relaxing trip would be perfect for you! On an ocean cruise you’d be able to rest in the sun with a book while enjoying a salty breeze straight from the sea.
Mostly Cs: Mountain Retreat There is no better refreshment than a vacation in the mountains. You can stay in mountain views. You can watch a family of deer tiptoe past, spot a bear and roast What an ideal place to enjoy God’s creation!
Mostly Ds: Water Park fun, and a water part is one of the most fun slippery slides, relax in the lazy river, and splash in the pool with friends.
