hank you OABA members for embracing our partnership with Fiserv and Clover. Your support has allowed for extra financial giving and solution opportunities back to your organization. In 2021, with less than a year of partner growth, Fiserv was able to give back roughly $22k in OABA member and partnership credit. Our commitment to this organization is to provide industry specific support, reduced hardware and card processing rates, and keep members in touch with industry specific education and prod- ucts in order keep our unique industry thriving by way of financial technol- ogy. That being said, as hardware and operation cost increasing across the nation, the Fiserv and Clover team have spent many hours finding new ways to accommodate seasonality, reduce cost, and become more ef- ficient in serving the high demands of the outdoor amusement fast-paced lifestyle.
Premium Support This year, members under the OABA
Fiserv program were given a level 2 support line dedicated to the unique challenges that come up with hard- ware and seasonality. This number will allow those members to bypass authentication prompts and speak to a technical representative immediately. Each of these seasoned agents have ac- cess to the notes and commonly used best practices to help you resolve your concern quickly and efficiently.
Rates and Fees
Under the OABA partnership, all Clover users have no monthly mini- mums, no PCI nor Non-PCI fees, no Clover Platform, fees, nor annual fees. Members under the OABA program that had been billed those fees this year were refunded and fees removed. There are other tools to remove Clover app market off season fees available to each member including season holds on Clover billing that may not have been available prior to 2022. Processing rates will remain at the two choices of interchange (cost controlled by associations) plus 0.17% (0.0017) and 2 cents a transaction or the 2.29% and 9 cents a transaction simple pricing. of money due to high volume and high average tickets. Though interchange pricing method is complex and more difficult statement to read, midway tickets are seeing average rates in the low 1-2% depending on average con- sumer and market. Because our conces- sions are lower average tickets, our concessionaires would want to utilize simple pricing to maximize profitability due to the lower transaction fee. Many of you have also requested consumer
paid processing fee program. We do offer this product to you as well. Please remember though, if you choose to utilize this product, be sure to under- stand how the product works, that its designed to meet the overall nation- wide consumer paid surcharging laws, but there are caveats you will want to be educated on before moving forward. Once explained, carnival owners have decided to remain under the two tradi- tional options available.
