MEET DR. BRIGETTE DEAN-HINES, VICE PRESIDENT, KVMA
What I enjoy most about volunteering with the KVMA is the comradery that is instant and genuine with our dear colleagues. Tis comradery improves my daily quality of life and gives me a peace of mind that others care about what goes on in our profession in our great Commonwealth.
When I am away from my companion animal practice, I enjoy everything my 7- year-old daughter does! I enjoy traveling to just about everywhere that has the sea air and salt water, beautiful landscapes and our great treasures of the National Parks. Closer to home I enjoy the Louisville racing, music and dining scene. I also enjoy supporting the various independent businesses, and certainly, all things Bourbon.
I look forward to participating in the year ahead with the KVMA as your Vice President.

MEET DR. WADE KING, SECRETARY/TREASURER, KVMA
Hello, I am a second-generation veterinarian from Frankfort, KY. I attended UK prior to graduating from Auburn University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 2014. After graduation, I trained and worked in Louisville at Metropolitan Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Ser- vices for several years before moving back to Frankfort to join, and ul- timately take ownership of, a small animal practice- Frankfort Animal Clinic. When not at work, I enjoy spending time with my beautiful wife and daughter, and my faithful daschund, Julep. Since attending the board meetings and seeing our profession through the eyes of a practitioner, employee, and now owner; I have come to realize the ma- jor challenges our profession faces from all fronts (legislature, media, retail industry, etc.) and the importance of having a group working together with a unified voice. I hope to continue the comradery we all shared while in veterinary school. I look forward to getting the newest generation of veterinarians engaged in our profession outside of the exam room.
