KVMA EXECUTIVE BOARD MINUTES KVMA EXECUTIVE BOARD MEETING 9/17/2020 AND 9/19/2020 MINUTES
1. Attendees: Drs. Barr, Rodgers, Vice, Redmon, King, Stout, Smith, Rhinehart, Mirus, Shoulders, Qua- mmen, Beckmann, Redmon, Dean-Hines, Weber, Anderson, Evans, Kratt, Johnson, Knapp and Ms. Hamelback and Ms. Lewis.
2. Update from AVMA President , Dr. Kratt. Topics include COVID-19 updates, AVMF resources, Diversity and cultural inclusion, cannabis symposium, economic summit, technician utilization, and African Swine Fever.
3. Update from Dean Johnson (AU) class schedule, COVID-19 adjusted classroom in-person attendance and virtual presentations; current applicant data.
4. Dr. Knapp, AVMA District V representative introduction. 5. Constituent groups gave updates Meeting to be continued 9/19/2020
9/19/2020 1. Attendees: Drs. Barr, King, Weber, Carter, Rodgers, Shoulders, Dean-Hines, Quammen, Smith, Stout, Goodpaster, Kratt, Hulon, Redmon, Mears, Tobin, Jackson, Chandler, Mirus, Wills, Schmidt, Eckert, Ms. Hamelback and Ms. Lewis.
2. Dr. Barr thanked all those involved in MAVC planning; Identified all sponsors and committee chair, Dr. Shoulders.
3. Oct. 5, 2019 Minutes. Motion to accept (Rodgers); 2nd (Shoulders). VOTE: Minutes APPROVED. 4. Treasury report by Dr. Dean-Hines. KVMA is in good financial standing. 5. Dr. Kratt presented brief update from AVMA. Encouraged members to view video for more in depth details.
6. Dr. Knapp presented an overview of HB 21 and other important bills. 7. Dr. Barr presented 2020-2021 KVMA Executive Board Nominees; Dr. Dean-Hines for VP and
Dr.King for Secretary/Treasurer. Motion made to close nominations and motion to accept nominees made (Quammen) and 2nd (Rodgers). VOTE: Executive Board members APPROVED.
8. Dr. Quammen presented update and future plans for Power of Ten Leadership Committee. 9. Dr. Goodpaster presented update on KVMA Foundation. 10. Ms. Hamelback announced MAVC dates Sept/ 23-26, 2021, Galt House. 11. Motion to adjourn (Wills), 2nd (Dean-Hines). ADJOURNED
