FROM THE KVMA EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR Greetings KVMA Members,

What a hectic few months it has been here at the KVMA office and most certainly for you as a veterinarian as well. We have recently com- pleted our first ever virtual/on-demand conference. Tank you to all attendees for supporting the KVMA Mid-America Conference, our KVMA planning committee and board, speakers, sponsors, and ex- hibitors whom all worked continuously together providing a wonder- ful conference with quality content and presenters. I would also like to thank our website designer Christopher O’Toole and graphic designer Terri Ralenkotter. Tey were integral parts of our KVMA team, pull- ing this off with only three months of planning so our veterinarians, staff and technicians were able to obtain their continuing education hours.

We as an industry have stepped up these past six months like never before, with each of us rolling up our sleeves and getting to work. Your commitment and resiliency have been amazing in these unchartered waters. I have spoken with many of you and it truly has been a pleasure working with you on the many different issues that have been occurring or working through the questions you have had. Each of you have adapted, evolved, and made some tough sacrifices, we thank you.

We acknowledge the fact that you and your staff have been on the frontlines of this crisis from the begin- ning. We also know each of you have taken the necessary steps to put the health of your clients, patients, and staff first. For this, we also sincerely thank you.

Next week we will have our KVMA Board Retreat and will start planning for next years conference and the year ahead.

We thank you for supporting the KVMA and for being members. Te KVMA is your organization, and I encourage you to always feel free to reach out anytime with comment, questions, or concerns.

Respectfully, Debra Hamelback

Te KVMA communicates electronically with its membership. It’s fast- er, cheaper, and more efficient to do it this way, not to mention far more versatile. Please, even if you are absolutely sure that the KVMA has your proper email address, take a moment to double check by logging in to www.KVMA.org and checking your Member Profile in the Mem- ber Portal. You can make any necessary changes, to email or any other pertinent information, right on the spot and be connected with your colleagues once again.
