IA happenings Successful Irrigation Show
In November, the IA welcomed irrigation professionals to Orlando, Florida, for the annual Irrigation Show and Education Conference.
The Irrigation Show is the world’s largest show for agriculture, landscape and golf irrigation, gathering professionals from all over the world to network, learn and promote irrigation efficiency. Attendees took advantage of the education conference program including a highly respected lineup of industry experts presenting technical sessions, seminars and education classes. Many also became Select Certified by taking a certification exam offered during the week.
This year’s highlights included the popular new product contest — a one-of-a-kind way to see what products are on the cutting edge of irrigation technology; keynote speaker, Doug Rauch, former president of popular grocery store chain Trader Joe’s; the IA Pitcher’s Mound, where burgeoning inventors and entrepreneurs pitch their product and business ideas to a panel of judges; and the 2017 Water Summit.
For more information about the show, see pages 30 – 35. Make plans now to attend the 2018 Irrigation Show and Education Conference in Long Beach, California, Dec. 3 – 7, 2018.
