On the show floor


Orlando, Florida, provided the setting where thousands of irrigation professionals browsed exhibit booths displaying the latest products and technologies from 300 exhibiting companies. The show floor also showcased the 51 products featured in the new product contest. (See p. 32 for more details.)


The IA Pitcher’s Mound featured five budding entrepreneurs who “took the mound” to pitch their product ideas, hoping to get a “home run” from the judges.


The popular Bringing Water to Life podcast went live during the show, offering a behind-the-scenes look at the podcast while livestreaming to listeners.


Water summit


Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services Commissioner Adam Putnam was the featured speaker at the 2017 Water Summit. Two expert panels discussed the relationship between irrigation and water management and the challenges currently facing the industry.
