Born on June 1, 1935, Tony emigrated from the Netherlands to Canada in 1958

He was also a proud Opa to ten grandchildren: Nathan, Grace, Claire, Ethan, Emily ( Joel), Teresa, Maria (Eric), Rachel, John, and Kaitlyn (Oscar), and his first great-grandchild, Olivia. Today, these two businesses have grown into five separate companies, which form a cornerstone of the horticulture industry in Alberta. Tony was always ready to lend a hand or share his expertise, as he took on the leadership of many industry initiatives, in addition to serving as President of Landscape Alberta. Trough his vision and passion, Tony not only cultivated plants, but he also nurtured a culture of professionalism, innovation, and community spirit. Tough he is no longer with us, his memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and the many people who were inspired by his example.
