Despite all of my concerns about AI-generated content, I would be a fool to deny its potential positive presence for a busy human if, like so many things in life, it is used intentionally and with moderation.


We, for example, use AI on our farm already to help plan irrigation schedules for our office yard sprinklers. Yay! Tat is one less thing on my plate. I use AI to schedule social media content for optimal delivery times and audiences. Great! I’m not a full-time marketing guru, so I appreciate the assist! I use AI to quickly summarize or analyze large datasets for research, sales, or pricing trends because I am also running a sod farm and have a million other things to think about. We use AI automations to streamline customer onboarding every day. It’s a total stress reducer.


And the future looks bright! Tere are lots of areas to explore out there in the years to come regarding logistics, scheduling, task delegation, and customer communication. Te list goes on and on.


You get the idea. It’s a great tool for the business leader tool belt; if used inappropriately, it’s probably going to hurt you. So let me end by quoting a great AI article I once read (har har).


AI doesn’t replace human expertise; it enhances it. By automating tasks and delivering insights, AI allows farmers to focus on innovation and growth. For small agricultural businesses, it’s a valuable time-saving ally—a real field day for productivity!
