District 1 Representative: “My name is Dr. John Sim and I am proud to represent District 1, which includes parts of northern King County and Snohomish County. I have been a member of the WSCA since 2002. I now practice in Lynnwood
at Lynnwood Family Chiropractic where I have been since 2007. When I am not
seeing patients, I enjoy playing golf and traveling. Along with Dr. Perkes, I help organize the WSCA Golf Tournament which is a lot of fun even though I have never won (I have come in a close second, though!). It is a great opportunity to meet other chiropractors from across the state and play in a friendly (or not so friendly) round of golf. I love being a chiropractor and I love serving on the WSCA board, where we fight for chiropractic and help other chiropractors help their patients.”
District 2 Representative: “Happy 2024, WSCA chiropractors!! My name is Dr. Sarah Kotlerman and I am the board member for Congressional District 2, which spans Island, Skagit, San Juan, Whatcom and western Snohomish Counties. I currently practice at Averio Health Institute in Mount Vernon, WA where our focus is on providing weeklong concentrated chiropractic care programs for patients with complex and/or chronic health concerns. We have recently (since 2020) started publishing our results internationally with the Australian Spinal Research Foundation and have 10 confirmed publications through the end of 2024. Our results are specialized around the non-surgical repair of cervical ligament instability, repair of normal spinal alignment and structure, and removal of systemic toxicology burdens; and how removing these common interferences to central nervous system function can cause great improvements for the patient in a variety of disease and dysfunctional states. I am also a mom of one bright and happy daughter, Elora, and my husband, Dr. Zachary Kotlerman, is also a chiropractor. Both my husband and I are helping with the new Washington Chiropractic College, and we hope to see better and more productive times for chiropractors in the near future. A rising tide lifts all boats.”
District 3 Representative: “My name is Dr. Paul Reed and I am proud to serve on the WSCA representing District 3. My chiropractic journey started when I received my first adjustment in the 8th grade. At that moment, I knew I wanted to be a chiropractor. After my time at WSU [Go Cougs] I attended chiropractic college
and opened my practice in Vancouver, where I had grown up. I have been an active WSCA member since I was licensed in 1998! I love spending time with my wife of more than 30 years and

visiting our now adult kids. After selling our practices in 2019, I am now mentoring chiropractors to help them grow personally and professionally. I look forward to continuing to serve this amazing profession that has so much to offer the world.”
District 4 Representative: “My name is Dr. Robert “Bob” Perkes and I represent District 4 or the central region of the state. I live and work in the Tri-Cities with my wife of 23 years and my four sons. I am an avid coach and chiropractic advocate. I work at Core Concepts, a multidisciplinary office with locations across the region. We provide comprehensive chiropractic treatment across
the entire spectrum of the profession. I have been practicing in Washington since 2006 and have been actively involved in the WSCA since I was a student at UWS. I have always tried to be involved. I have found if you don’t have a seat at the table, you are on the menu.”
District 5 Representative: “My name is Dr. Mark S. Jones and have served for the past twelve years on the WSCA Board of Directors, representing District 5.
I
am a second-generation chiropractor and graduated from Palmer (Davenport) in 1997. I have practiced in my hometown of Spokane for the past twenty-six years. My wife, Stephanie, and I have four grown boys—three currently in college, and a senior in high school. We are an active family that enjoys snow skiing and golfing together. My wife and I volunteered for twelve years on the National Ski Patrol and continue to enjoy the alpine culture that is cultivated in that environment. Giving back to our community is an important part of our lives. I appreciate all of the many blessings we have in our lives and repay my gratitude through dedicated service, stewardship and giving. It has been an honor to have served alongside many great chiropractors on our board that work behind the scenes to protect, promote and move our profession forward.”
District 6 Representative: “My name is Dr. Luther Chau. I am the new District 6 representative for the WSCA and am so honored to help our profession as best I can. I have been in practice in Gig Harbor for the past ten years. I currently volunteer as a SCORE (Service Corps of Retired Executives) mentor and am the coordinator for a local networking group. I graduated from UWS in 2013 and prior to that I practiced massage for seven years. I have a passion for the outdoors and love to hike, bike (road/mntb/motor), and snowboard. I am looking forward to serving and helping our profession thrive in the future.”
