Hello to all of the amazing doctors of chiropractic from one corner of our state to the other! I am so excited to have the opportunity to connect with you all in this special


issue of Plexus. Once a year, the WSCA sends a copy of Plexus to every chiropractor in the state to give you a taste of what you could be a part of as a member. You may not know, but Plexus is published six times a year; however, only to members of the WSCA. As you will soon find out, this is, without question, the premier state association publication across the country. In every issue, the WSCA produces incredible content that is packed with information every doctor can use in practice and life. Articles are curated by the WSCA staff to provide updates critical to everyday practice. We reach out to the leaders of our profession for the latest in technique, technology, and practice management. Our tireless Executive of Legislation and Policy, Lori Grassi, provides regular updates on the progress of bills that shape and impact every one of our practices. This is just a slice of the important content that comes exclusively to WSCA members six times a year. It may be obvious, but I’m telling you this because it’s just another one of the invaluable benefits of being a member of the WSCA.


This is also a perfect opportunity to remind every doctor in Washington that WSCA Connect ‘25 annual conference is coming up this fall. We are once again meeting in Tacoma on the weekend of October 3rd-5th. This year’s conference will include a staff track on Friday as well as two tracks of content for doctors and staff throughout the weekend. We have an awesome lineup of presenters and will have a huge contingent of exhibitors eager to provide useful benefits for every practice in Washington.


For the second year, the annual conference will also include the yearly elections to the WSCA Board, so this serves as a good reminder that any doctors who are interested in volunteering for a role on the board should reach out to our Executive Director, Jeff Curwen, for information.


I know I may sound like a broken record, but the cost of WSCA membership is so easily outweighed by the benefits received. Members have exclusive access to continuing education content via the www.chirohealth.org website, which makes it possible to receive all 25 of your required CE credits at little to no cost. Members have the opportunity to use the incredibly valuable Classified Ads section of Plexus for free two times every year. WSCA Members get discounts on every continuing education event the association puts on across the state, which easily covers the cost of membership every year. WSCA members get discounts with corporate members as well as our legal partners, which add up to potentially thousands of dollars in savings every year. I could continue listing the exclusive benefits of being a WSCA member, but I’ve run out of space.


I also want to take this time to express my deep appreciation to the family of Board members and staff of the WSCA personally. The eight years and counting that I have had the privilege of serving with all of you have been a highlight of my 28 years in practice. The knowledge, inspiration, and passion you have expressed throughout my time with the WSCA have been crucial to my growth as a doctor of chiropractic. I love and appreciate you all. I am so glad I chose this profession, and I am so glad I found a community of like-minded colleagues to share my passion with. Thank You!
