to the Generous Contributors to the ILAC Fundraiser

We don’t usually think of tax day as a laughing matter, but this year on April 15 many CAI members and friends enjoyed a night of comedy at Zanies in Rosemont. The event was part of a fundraiser to help pay for the Illinois Legislative Action Committee’s lobbyist. Many companies and individuals donated silent auction items, bid on items, attended the comedy event, and contributed cash donations. The event was a huge success and will help ILAC and its lobbyist continue building credibility and presence in Springfield.

ILAC is the primary voice with legislators and regulators and speaks with one voice on state legislative and regulatory matters that affect community associations, community association managers and CAI business partners.

ILAC serves several important functions for the Chapter and its members in the following ways:

 the Illinois legislature

 local legislation or regulations, and collectively takes “a position” on each bill or ordinance and communicates the position to elected officials

 to influence the course of proposed legislation

  Forums, all of which update members on legal and legislative developments affecting community associations



 community associations

 state level
