Parking Problem

By John Cabral, Oak Park Mediation & Nonviolent Communication

It’s a real pleasure to live in a building or complex and know that it’s not just an apartment building—it’s a group of neighbors who make decisions together and have a stronger-than- usual bond because they jointly own everything around them. No landlord running things—the owners run things. They all face the same ownership issues—maintaining a beautiful community and keeping an eye on taxes and property values for their homes. Smiles and hellos are commonplace and, with certain neighbors, you frequently stop and talk on the sidewalk or in the hallway.
