Amanita Thorp Berto is owner of Horned Locust GoatScaping in Sante Fe, N.M., and uses a flock of goats and sheep to do landscaping projects. Projects include city parks, conservation land, Homeowner as- sociation green spaces, photovoltaic installations and many other places. As seen in these photos of Aman- ita, her daughter Miracle and son Tommy, her chil-

dren go on all the jobs — whether commuting daily or camping for weeks at a time onsite. “Both kids have grown up ‘goat’ and regularly enjoy the four leggeds’ company,” Amanita said. “We herd on horse- back and with dogs.” For more information, here is a video from a few years ago: https://quiviracoalition.org/dte-episode-113/.
