SUB Forums and Webinars AGC of California educational forums and webinars targeting SUBs span the gamut in 2024, reaching more than 398 attendees. Tey include: • SUB Forum. Hosted quarterly, the forums focus on capacity building and networking for SUB contractors. It’s an opportunity for AGC member companies to share upcoming
opportunities with SUBs and directly invest in the future of construction by helping to grow their business. These events are free and open to both members and non-members.
• Introduction to Government Contracting. Tis February 28, 2024 live webinar (recorded and available on AGC’s LMS as an on-demand training) featured a presentation by Kofo Domingo, MKD Consulting Group, and Jerry Mathis, Renaissance Entrepreneurship Center. They provided an overview of government contracting and how to get certified in California.
• A Conversation with Mortenson: Leading the Way in EV Infrastructure. Featuring presentations from Jon-Erik Magnus (Rogers Joseph O’Donnell attorney), Andrew Martinez and Anna Scodel (both of the California Air Resources Board), and Phil Cazel (Energy Commission), this March 11, 2024 webinar highlighted upcoming regulatory updates and funding opportunities in the electric vehicle space that SUBs should know about. Te goal was to connect the SUB community to industry professionals who have experience with EV-related projects and inform them of upcoming regulatory updates related to the EV space.
• A Conversation with McCarthy: Renewable Energy. Presented by Khatchig Tchapadarian, vice president and project executive - renewable energy solar with McCarthy Building Companies, the April 23, 2024 webinar spotlighted McCarthy’s industry-leading work in the solar and renewable energy industry. Te session connected the SUB community to industry professionals who have experience with EV-related projects and allowed them to share high-level industry insights on the projects.
