Te Kentucky Board of Veterinary Examiners (KBVE) met on November 21, 2024. Tey discussed public comments received to date on the administrative regulations filed in September and October. Members of the Board voted to reduce the proposed renewal fee in 2027 for registered facilities from $450 to the legal minimum of $200. Te Board shall revaluate registered facility fees once all veterinary facilities have registered by the deadline of June 30, 2025. Te Kentucky Board of Veterinary Examiners have sent out informational emails of all the Regulations to all KY Licensees via email. Tere are items that have been amended that we need to bring attention to regarding the amended licensing fee proposal and fees for veterinary facility registrations. Below is the information that has been copied and pasted from the KBVE website ( https://kbve.ky.gov/Pages/ practice-act.aspx ) .


Tese Regulations need to be read carefully as this is your Practice Act and Regulation of how you practice veterinary medicine, surgery and diagnostics.


In addition, there is a list of Discussion Drafts listed on the KBVE website that are released solely for early discussion and feedback.


KVMA wants to be sure membership is fully aware of these Regulations, amended fee structure for veterinarians and timelines so you have time to comment and reserve a spot at the public comment if you wish.
