WELCOME TO THE MID-AMERICA VETERINARY CONFERENCE! #MAVC24
Hello and welcome to the 2024 Mid-America Veterinary Conference! We are thrilled you are here.
Dr. Wade King and our Program Planning Committee have a great conference planned for us with an exceptional group of speakers providing up to 21 hours of continuing education on diverse and relevant topics for all. We are excited to finally be back in downtown Lexington, Kentucky, at the newly renovated Central Bank Center where you find updated features and lounge spaces throughout the conference space.
We have nationally recognized speakers who will be presenting a variety of topics beyond small animal, food animal, equine, or One Health and Regulatory. Practice management, wellness and veterinary technician tracts are also available to provide opportunities to benefit every member of your veterinary team to enhance your practice. I am personally excited to have an ultrasound lecture and wet lab added to this year’s program.
Saturday will feature the 113th KVMA Annual Business and Awards Luncheon, including an update presented by an AVMA representative. We will again have our popular live and silent auctions to support the KVMA Foundation. I encourage you to take a moment and participate in the silent auction and also consider donating items. The funds raised directly impact veterinary efforts in Kentucky such as student scholarship and disaster relief.
The exhibition hall will be open on Friday and Saturday. Afternoon refreshments will be available throughout the exhibit areas during lecture breaks. Please take time to visit and thank our exhibitors and sponsors when you see them at the conference or when they visit your clinic. They are vital to the success of our conference.
This conference would not have been possible without the help from Debra Hamelback, the entire planning committee, and our KVMA Executive Board. We appreciate all your hard work and dedication in preparation for this conference. We are happy to be back in Lexington for 2024 and again in 2025 and hope that you find it as welcoming as we have.
Sincerely,
Ben Redmon, DVM KVMA President
