Congratulations to Kentucky’s Tuskegee CVM Graduates Student News
The Tuskegee University College of Veterinary Medicine (TUCVM) welcomed 63 new doctors of veterinary medi-
cine into the profession on May 4, 2024, during the Gradu- ate and Professional Schools formal ceremony in the Chap- pie James Arena. However, it was the Veterinary Medicine Oath and Hooding Ceremony which followed the com- mencement that held the most excitement for the graduates as they formally took their oath as now official veterinarians in front of family and friends.
Te veterinary medicine class of 2024 represents the 75th graduation class of veterinarians from Tuskegee University. Since 1949, Tuskegee has now awarded over 3,000 veterinary medicine degrees from the only veterinary medical profes- sional program on the campus of a Historically Black College or University.
Two Kentucky residents reeived their DVM degrees during the ceremony, Dr. Lauryn Gant and Dr. Kailey Hildebrandt (Miller).
