2024 SIR Political Action Committee (SIRPAC) resident member, at-large
SIRPAC is the political action committee for SIR. The SIRPAC Board is a stand- alone entity with its own Bylaws, whose charge is to oversee the political action committee operations, fundraising activities, and contributions to state and federal political campaigns. The SIRPAC Board is looking for a resident member, at-large to serve a 1-year term.

The Incubator Grant
The SIR Foundation Incubator Grant, formerly known as the Funding Source Development Grant, is now open for applications.
The Incubator Grant will award up to $25,000 to provide support for costs related to developing any of the following:
• A complete protocol for a clinical study
SIR AMA Resident, Fellow and Student (RFS) Section delegate
SIR is a member organization of the American Medical Association (AMA). The RFS delegate is responsible for attending the RFS section meeting held during the AMA House of Delegates and interim meetings, and to represent IR resident issues during those meetings. To prepare for the AMA meetings, the SIR RFS delegate is to be in communication with SIR RFS activities and policy issues.

• A federal application designed to seek support for a clinical study from the National Institutes of Health, Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, or other federal entities
• A complete clinical proposal designed for subsequent industry funding
• An operations/training manual and supporting materials as needed for a clinical study
Member of the Resident Advocacy Subcommittee
The Resident Advocacy Subcommittee was established in 2023 to create a venue for IR residents who are SIR members in good standing to engage in discussions and activities related to state and federal government relations advocacy activities that impact IR. Resident volunteers will be provided with advocacy training resources, membership in the Voices for IR grassroots program, and webinar events featuring advocacy topics and experts.

Reviewer-in-Training Program The Reviewer-in-Training (RIT) Program is designed to train and mentor individuals to review grant proposals and learn the grant review process to be able to participate in various study sections ranging from society, foundation and government agencies (such as the National Institutes of Health).
