Dr. Robert Bitter Tau ’78, ADA Eighth District Trustee, presented the 2017 Joseph J. Schwarz DISTINGUISHED ALUMNI AWARD to Dr. Gary L. Roberts, Alpha Pi ’77, ADA President, during the American Dental Association meeting in Atlanta, GA on Sunday, October 22, 2017.
dental hygienist, traveled to Guatemala to perform den- tal missionary work. He eventually became director of numerous dental and medical missions to that country and was made Honorary Consul of Guatemala for part of the midwest region and a member of the U.S. State Department. Dr. Spalitto knows and has compassion for the needy. Tere is a long list of recipients who have received his care, both here and abroad. One can say the world smiles a little brighter because of Spalitto’s many humanitarian efforts.
