t has been a very exciting and very busy fall semester for the Beta Mu
chapter Zips at Southern Illinois University! We started off our new school year with a fun filled rush week. Our Talladega Nights themed party did not disappoint. Tis chap- ter welcomed the new first years at our tailgate party, where our fantastic

faculty helped serve up hamburg- ers, hotdogs and ice cold beverages. Dressed in our trashiest denim we continued with bags competitions and volleyball games and the music kept the party going all through the night. We couldn’t have asked for a better turnout. When rush week came to an end, we had 17 new members! We kept the ball rolling this semes-
ter with our Zip golf tournament. Luckily this year the weather was great and all the attendees could enjoy
hitting the green in the sunshine. Our Jello shot girls made sure our partici- pants had tons of fun as they made their way through the course. After nine holes of healthy competition, we enjoyed hamburgers and hotdogs once again grilled up by our very own Dr. Dickey who was accompanied this year by Dr. Rawson. Tis day remains one of the best days of the year whether you’re shooting under par or going for highest score. We also continued our annual food drive this year. We hosted a happy
