CONTRIBUTING WRITERS David A. Camp, BS, DC


shares his experience using low level laser therapy (cold laser) in this issue. A 1993 graduate of Palmer College, he owns Camp Chiropractic Center Inc. in Lacey, WA. He practices full spine adjusting for adults and children and specializes in extremity correction, including TMJ, for the athlete and non athlete alike.


Christian Cohen, DC, CCCN, DACNB


graduated from Palmer College in 2001. He has been practicing Pettibon his entire career and worked with Dr. Burl Pettibon for 15 years. He published his first research project shortly after graduation, although the work was done while still a student. In November 2017, he took and passed the neurology board and has integrated the neurology training with the Pettibon System. He has been adjunct faculty at Palmer for the Pettibon elective course and has taught thousands of spinal biomechanics and structural correction all over the U.S. He is currently in private practice in Gig Harbor, WA.


Robert Perkes, DC is a WSCA Board member and owner of Core Concepts, an integrated healthcare office with multiple locations and providers. He lives in West Richland, WA with his wife of 17 years and 4 clones/sons. He is a University of Western States graduate. In this issue, Dr. Perkes brings us another edition of The Water Cooler: Tips for New DCs.


Gordon Rody, DC grew up in Tacoma, WA and pursued undergraduate studies at Pacific Lutheran University of Tacoma. He graduated from Western States Chiropractic College, (now University) in 1981 and began practicing in 1982 as Rody Chiropractic Clinic. He worked with his brother Douglas Rody, DC for 26 years and for the past 12 years, has practiced with his daughter Amy Rody, DC. They now have two twin buildings of 3,400 square feet each, one for four chiropractors, and one for 20 massage therapists, an acupuncturist, and two nutritional consultants who sell only Standard Process Products. The practice is now known as Rody Chiropractic Massage and Health in Puyallup, WA. In this issue, he contributes The Atlas Orthogonal Instrument Adjustment Technique.


Edwin Shepherd III, DC


discusses cranial adjusting in a chiropractic setting in this issue. Dr. Shepherd is a 1981 graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic. He has practiced in Illinois, Maine and now in Seattle. Dr. Shepherd has been a clinical instructor for Activator Methods International, Ltd. since 2008. He was appointed an adjunct professor in the Physical Medicine Department by Bastyr University in 2013.

It is the policy of the WSCA to produce publications for the following purposes: to keep the membership informed on issues of concern and current news; to improve communication and cooperation between members of the profession, and between the profession and the WSCA; to promote and advance the activities, goals and objectives of the WSCA; to provide a forum for input and exchange regarding the direction of healthcare and the chiropractic profession; and to provide a venue for promotion of the WSCA’s corporate membership while providing financial support to the WSCA.


Display Advertising Policy


It is the policy of the WSCA to extend display advertising opportunities in Plexus only to those companies and/or individuals who choose to affiliate with the WSCA as Corporate Partners. DCs who maintain outside business interests in addition to their chiropractic practice are invited to increase their involvement as Corporate Partners and thus enjoy the privilege of advertising their products in Plexus.
