Can you explain to me again . . . when do I have to start doing my CEs in person?

When you submit a custom design order, the design you see on the website will be printed on the back of the shirt. You’ll also submit your clinic logo with that form and your logo will be printed on the left breast of the T-shirt. This option is available for the T-shirts only—the WSCA-branded polo shirts cannot be customized in that manner.
The rule requiring 13 of your 25 annual CEs to be completed in- person will be enforced again beginning Friday, November 17. This means that if your birthday falls anywhere between now and November 16, 2023, you can still do all of your CEs online. That’s just for this year’s license renewal, though. If your birthday falls on or after November 17, 2023, and for everyone renewing their licenses at any time after that date, you will need to do at least 13 CEs in-person.
There was talk last year about the WSCA looking
into a group health plan for its members. Are you still looking into that and, if so, what’s the status of it?

Last year the WSCA put out a survey to its membership to gauge interest in participating in a group association health plan. We were unable to offer a plan on this first effort, not for lack of interest, but because the average age of those interested was over 60. With an insurance pool in that age bracket, it was extremely difficult to find competitive rates. That does not mean we can’t try again, though. If we can form a group with a lower average age, say under 50, then we will be able to get highly competitive rates that will apply to everyone in the group.
