Call for Conference Volunteers APT is now accepting conference volunteer applications. The APT Annual
Conference would not be possible without our many volunteers! Each year, more than 50 volunteers work hard behind the scenes to ensure that members and attendees have an unmatched experience when attending the APT conference. Volunteers get an inside look at how the conference operates, earn valuable continuing education, and get to network with their peers along the way! Visit the Annual Conference section of the APT website to submit your application by June 20!

APT is proud to announce a very prestigious and long-deserved title change. On April 1, 2018, Diane Leon from Operations Manager to Vice President & Chief Operations for Play Therapy. Diane is an integral part of APT in all areas of operation and serves an especially vital role in orchestrating one of APT’s most acclaimed events, the
Annual APT International Conference! Alongside CEO Kathy Lebby, Diane has steered the Association in the direction of continual progress and innovation for over 20 years. Congratulations Diane, Vice President & COO!
APT welcomes Melissa Villegas as the new Membership & Communications
Coordinator.
She comes to us from California State University, Fresno, with a bachelor’s degree in English and multiple years of experience providing administrative
and
clerical assistance. Usually, you our social media platforms, communicating with our 42 state
branches, and assisting with membership activity.
Gold Branch Awards The following 28 branches achieved Gold Branch status for 2018: Alabama, Arizona, California, Colorado,
Georgia, Georgia-South, Iowa, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Maryland/DC, Minnesota, Missouri, North Carolina, New England, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and Washington! Branches obtain Gold status by meeting the 100-point minimum standard measured by offering a number of networking opportunities, play therapy workshops, community outreach activities, and engagement opportunities with members. Congratulations Gold Branches!
