Passion for the profession and appreciation for her peers makes NIKKI HENLEY, CPA, the ultimate team player. Henley’s CPA journey began at Oklahoma State University, where she earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting. She remains a dedicated alumna and continues to live by the school’s motto, “Loyal and True.” “My loyalty to my faith, family and friends has always been a steadfast

priority,” Henley said. “I will always provide support and encouragement during times of success and failure.” Henley’s commitment to loyalty and truth carries into her

professional work as well at Hall Capital LLC as a tax manager/ controller. “Te greatest things I can do to contribute to the CPA profession are to continue keeping ethics, integrity and the fact I am part of something bigger than myself in all decisions I make that could have an impact on the profession,” she said. Henley achieves this by implementing time and monetary saving changes to the Hall Capital's processes. Henley’s contributions have allowed for streamlined budgeting and standardized tax workpaper preparation.

“Tese changes have not always been easy to implement because in general, as we all know, people are resistant to change,” Henley said. “However, having a colleague provide positive feedback about change, especially when the change resulted in burdens being lessened for them, is complete satisfaction.” Henley serves her Society, as well as a director at large for the

OSCPA’s Oklahoma City Chapter. In this role, Henley manages communication about upcoming events to the Chapter’s members. “Not only did I get to reconnect with former co‐workers and clients, but these events also gave me the opportunity to connect with other CPAs in the OKC area,” Henley said. “A former co‐worker approached me about nominating me as a Director at Large, which I happily accepted.” Outside of her work, Henley has a love for fishing that she shares with her dad. She fondly recalls the Sunday afternoons spent fishing with her father while growing up. Typically, Henley would reel in the day’s biggest catch, while her dad repeatedly caught only small fish. To honor this memory, Henley and her father included a reenactment of the fish tale during the father-daughter dance at her wedding with the help of two stuffed animal fish, hers big and his small. Always catching the bigger fish, Henley was the star fisherman of
