the promotion of Matthew Major, CPA, to director and shareholder with the firm’s Oklahoma City office. Major has been an OSCPA member for 14 years.
Stanfield & O’Dell, P.C., a 100% VIP company, named Gordon Tarman II, CPA, a senior tax manager with its Tulsa office, a shareholder of the firm. Tarman has been an OSCPA member for 20 years. Additionally, Stanfield & O’Dell, P.C. announced the promotions of Bryan Adams, a student member, to audit senior; Ray Spencer, CPA, to tax supervisory senior; Kolton Taylor, CPA, to tax senior; and Jonathan Wish to audit supervisory senior. Spencer and Taylor have been OSCPA members for one year and Wish has been an OSCPA member for four years. Janese Shepard, CPA, CGMA,
a shareholder with Gray Blodgett & Company PLLC in Norman, Oklahoma, and Todd Lisle, CPA, ABV, CIA, managing partner with BKD CPAs & Advisors in Oklahoma City, were both quoted in Te Journal Record article “Accountants See Apps as Assistance, Not Competition.” Shephard, an OSCPA member for 14 years, is a 2013 OSCPA Distinguished C.P.A. Award winner, a past OSCPA Norman Chapter president and serves as the OSCPA Taxation Committee chair. Lisle, an OSCPA member for 29 years, has previously served as the Business Valuation/Forensic & Litigation Support Committee chair. Eric Johnson, CPA, CGMA, an associate dean for administration and finance with the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center College of Pharmacy in Oklahoma City, was featured in a tax Q&A with Te Oklahoman. An OSCPA member for 14 years, Johnson has served and
chaired numerous OSCPA committees and is an OSCPA past president. He is also a 2007 OSCPA Distinguished C.P.A. Award winner and a 2010 OSCPA Trailblazer.
RSM US LLP, a 100% VIP company, raised $8,685 for the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma during the 2015 Birdies Fore Love program. Employees from the Oklahoma City office partnered with
the RSM US Foundation to raise funds for Birdies Fore Love, a program that assists children and their families. Te program is supported by 80 RSM US LLP offices throughout the country.
Te OSCPA Tulsa Chapter is accepting applications for its annual Certified Public Accountants Leadership Award, which includes a scholarship. Oklahoma residents, or those who plan to reside in Oklahoma after graduation, are eligible. Applicants must be graduating

with an accounting degree in the 2016-2017 school year or pursuing the 150 hours required to be eligible for the CPA exam. To apply, use the 2016 Scholarship Application found on
