Spotlight: The Symposium & Expo Committee

The Committee members brain- storm about what topics are likely to be of greatest interest, send out a call for presentations, and then de- cide which six educational sessions will be scheduled. They are also re- sponsible for acquiring sponsors for

the event and, in fact, have been one of the highest revenue-generating committees in our Chapter.
What makes a great committee member? It’s definitely a working committee, so experience in the in- dustry is helpful. People who are familiar with the Chapter, are pas- sionate about CAI, and are good at relationship-building, also make it easier to obtain the sponsorships which are so critical to success.
Right now the Committee con- sists of community managers and business partners and they’d love to have a homeowner or two join the committee. Take a look. See if you think it would be fun to join this group! We’re betting it would be.
