March 14, 2024 Nicole Kardos-Claypool, CMCA, AMS of Optimum Professional Property Management, Inc., AAMC

The Manager Support Committee had the pleasure of hosting a Manager and Homeowner Leader Breakfast March 14th, featuring esteemed guest speaker Dr. Raymond Sfeir, PhD from the Argyros School of Business & Economics at Chapman University. Dr. Sfeir delivered an insightful presentation covering a range of pertinent topics impacting our industry and beyond.

Dr. Sfeir began by discussing the potential for a slowdown in the U.S. economy in 2024, highlighting key indicators and factors contributing to this forecast. He then delved into the repercussions of the federal debt, shedding light on its implications for various sectors and the economy at large.

A significant portion of the presentation was dedicated to California’s employment growth across different sectors, providing valuable insights into the state’s economic landscape. Dr. Sfeir also explored the changing dynamics of the energy sector in California, addressing emerging trends and challenges.

Another notable aspect of the discussion was the net population outflow in California and Orange County, offering perspectives on demographic shifts and their impact on local communities. Finally, Dr. Sfeir provided an overview of the real estate sector in Orange County, touching upon current trends, challenges, and opportunities for growth.

Overall, the Manager and Homeowner Leader Breakfast proved to be an enlightening and thought-provoking event, thanks to Dr. Sfeir’s expertise and engaging presentation style. Attendees left with a deeper understanding of the economic landscape and valuable insights. We extend our sincere appreciation to Dr. Sfeir for sharing his knowledge and expertise with us.
