CAI-OC Community Outreach Committee Honored to Participate in 2024 Annual HomeAid OC Diaper Drive
The CAI-OC Community Outreach Committee is overjoyed to share that our partnership, donations and participation in the 2024 Annual HomeAid Diaper Drive was a success again and we have you all to thank for it! We saw our CAI community come together June 7th to collect essential baby items like diapers, wipes, and baby food for HomeAid-built housing projects and the families who call them home.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who donated, volunteered, and came out for the annual Diaper Drive event. Our Community Outreach Committee members volunteered for 3 hours and worked to unload, count, and put all items on pallets to be loaded in UPS semi-trucks onsite. It was quite the spectacle to witness! CAI-OC’s members donated 30,000 essential baby items which were part of HomeAid’s collective total of nearly 1,000,000 donated items. Everyone’s contributions are deeply appreciated. Thank you to HomeAid for ensuring that everything gets into the hands of families in need.
The Community Outreach Committee has been a steadfast partner in this important cause for the past several years, and each year we are inspired by the generosity and spirit of our community, committee members, and volunteers.
Since 1989, HomeAid Orange County has approached the challenge of homelessness in portions of our communities with a unique and collaborative mindset. Their mission is to help people experiencing or at-risk of homelessness build new lives through construction, community engagement, and education. The Diaper Drive is just one of many events sponsored by HomeAid to help our community.
