Pay Your Dues Online E
ach fall the MDA sends out dues statements on behalf of your tripar- tite: the ADA, MDA and your Local
Component Society. Again this year, you are able to pay dues online and there is no fee to pay by credit card (or to set up an ACH bank account payment). Once paid online, receipts are emailed to the primary email address on file within 24 hours. When you’re ready to pay, visit
MODENTAL.org and click on Pay Dues on the homepage. You will log in to MyADA and instructions are provided.
DUES AMOUNTS
The ADA had a $10 dues increase for 2017, making their amount $532 for active members. MDA had no dues increase, thus staying $452. For complete dues informa- tion and component dues amounts, go to
modental.org/dues and click on “Dues Struc- ture” on the left navigation menu.
VOLUNTARY CONTRIBUTIONS
From the dues payment screen, you also can make voluntary contributions to ADPAC, MODentPAC, MDA Foundation and the Dental Well Being Foundation. Thank you for considering these MDA affiliated entities, as donations with dues payments are the largest fundraisers for each. Remember, if your Office Manager pays your dues for you, please inform him or her of any voluntary contributions you wish to make, do these are paid in addition to dues.
PAYMENT OPTIONS
While we encourage members to pay online with a credit card, additional payment options include payment by check and by Automated Clearing House transactions (ACH). All pay- ment options have no processing costs. Again this year, the MDA offers an installment pay- ment program that allows members to pay dues in two, four, six or eight monthly payments.
CONTACT INFORMATION
Don’t forget also to update your contact information. Not only is this used for mail and email correspondence, but also for the online ‘Find A Dentist’ directory, now conveniently the same across national, state and local websites (which the ADA will be upgrading and promoting through a digital campaign just approved at the 2016 ADA House).
ASSOCIATE/DENTAL TEAM MEMBERSHIP
This year in the dues statements, all members will receive an application for your dental team members to join. It’s just $10, and any dental team member is welcome. For more details or to download an application, visit
modental.org/dentalteam.

You can find complete information and instructions about payment options, voluntary contri- butions, waivers, member benefits and more at

2016H-1 through 2016H-5. These resolutions dealt with Approval of the 2016 House of Delegates Agenda; Approval of the 2016 Manual of the House of Delegates; Approval of the November 2015 House of Delegates Minutes; Nominations for 2016 ADA Delegates and Alternate Delegates; and, Nominations for 2016 ADA Action Team Leaders.
2016H-6 (Approval of 2017 Dues). This resolution set 2017 MDA dues at $452 for Active Members (no dues increase). See complete dues information at modental. org/dues. Of note this year, associate member dues have been reduced to $10.
2016H-7 (Delinquent Date for Dues Payments). This resolution will make the MDA’s cutoff date for dues March 31, the same as the ADA. The MDA having the same dues delinquent date as the ADA is one step further in providing more unification and less confusion for our members.
2016H-8 (House of Delegates Code of Conduct). This resolution fulfills a House directive from Resolution 2013H-12 and is a revision of 2015-10 that was referred to the Board of Trustees at the 2015 House of Delegates. The resolution clarifies the ethical responsibilities and code of conduct for delegates.
2016H-9 (Associate Membership). This resolution amended the MDA bylaws to remove the restriction of providing proof of professional certification for those desiring associate membership. Thus all dental team members working for an MDA member dentist or a lab technician currently working with or for an MDA member dentist and sponsored by an MDA member dentist may be accepted for associate membership through application.
