“The rink manager is a figure in any community and, in my opinion, building relationships and communicating with the community, the user groups and the public, is what helps keep the rink running smoothly.”

FAVORITE ACTIVITIES Boating, camping and hockey

VOLUNTEER ROLE Vice president, Board of Directors, North East Ice Skating Managers Association (NEISMA)

MOST INTERESTING MOMENT ON THE JOB “I was making ice during an AHL game, and the team’s game crew was out shooting T-shirts into the seating. As I was driving the resurfacer, they shot a shirt and it hit the top of the glass and bounced back under the machine, and the machine won. It ate that shirt right up and took me 30 minutes to remove it. It was pretty comical for all watching!”
