Conference and Spotlight Kiko Sale. The event will be held at the Tennessee Tech University Hyder-Burkes Agriculture Pavilion, 2390 Gainesboro Grade, Cookeville TN 38501.


The conference is free and open to the public, regardless of


breed preference. There will be farm displays, vendors and a sale of nearly 100 NKR-registered Kiko breeding stock.


The auctioneer for the sale will be Pit Kemmer with Brent Bal- linger of Mill Creek Ranch narrating. The sale will be broadcast live by DVAuction with online bidding available (register at www.dvauc- tion.com). Conference Speakers


Dr. Andrew P. Griffith is an Associate Professor and Extension Live- stock Economist with the University of Tennessee. He started serving Tennessee producers in May 2012 after completing his PhD at Okla- homa State University. Prior to earning his terminal degree, he earned a B.S. degree in Agriculture from Tennessee Tech University and a M.S. degree in Agricultural Economics at the University of Tennessee. He is originally from Hampshire, Tennessee where his family operates a commercial cow-calf operation, and where he produces soybeans and stocker cattle. His extension program focuses on marketing and production economics of cattle, goats, sheep, and dairy while also having an emphasis on forage economics.


Royce Towns is a native of Lafayette, Tenn., having been raised on a beef cattle, tobacco and goat farm. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from Tennessee Tech in Cookeville, and a master’s degree in Ruminant Nutrition from the University of Tennessee – Knoxville. For the past 32 years he has been employed by Tennessee Farmers Cooperative, spending the majority of that time working as
