EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR’S REPORT Tony Campisi
A Gettysburg Retreat
From the sound of the title of this article, one might think CAI Keystone resembles the Confederate Army in its defeat at Gettysburg.
Nothing could be further from the truth!
One of the most important roles of the chapter board and staff is to align the organization with our mission and purpose and to make sure that the chapter’s resources are directed in ways that support member needs and provide an unparalleled member experience. One of the ways we do that is to evaluate current programs, sunset those that are not supporting the mission of CAI and create new ones that are.
One such new program is the Keystone Executive Leadership Retreat. In its second year in 2023, the purpose of the retreat is to provide education and networking opportunities to management company CEOs and senior staff. This year’s retreat was held October 11-13 in Gettysburg, and it was an unqualified success.
Attendees and sponsors alike agree and stated such on their program evaluations:
“This was perhaps the best retreat I've been to. The speakers and content were excellent!”
“I thought the retreat was very good this year. The Ritz Carlton opening general session was excellent. One of the best sessions in years.”
“By far the best CAI event I have attended outside of national conferences. Love the mixture of people and exchange of information between attendees.”
“Really liked this event and would definitely do it again. Nice to interact with executive level clients in a somewhat smaller setting.”
“My experience at the Executive retreat was awesome. Well done!”

These comments validate the hard work of the Executive Leadership Retreat Committee and the staff in providing value to sponsors and attendees alike. This program, and many others that the chapter hosts each year, define what it means to be a mission driven organization.
This is why CAI exists. Hearing such positive feedback from members, and even hearing constructive criticism, helps us get better at what we do.
If you’re a management company CEO and you’re now intrigued – save the date! The 2024 Keystone Executive Leadership Retreat takes place September 11-13 in Lancaster City and it promises to be a captivating event worth your time and investment!
