In this edition of The QA, our regular column where we introduce you to a CAI Keystone volunteer, we talk with someone many of you already know —


Lynne Hartmann, CMCA, AMS, PCAM. Lynne is President-Elect of CAI Keystone and will begin her term as President of the chapter in 2024.


QA: What’s your name, current position / title, and current organization?


LH: Lynne Hartmann, Branch Vice-President, Associa Mid-Atlantic, AAMC.


QA: How long have you been with Associa? LH: 19 years!


QA: On which CAI Keystone committee(s) or regional council(s) do you currently volunteer?


LH: Board of Directors, Board Development, liaison to Member Engagement, and New Jersey Regional Council. I’m also a liaison to the New Jersey Legislative Action Committee (NJ LAC).


QA: How long have you been a CAI member?


LH: 17 years, almost as long as I’ve been with Associa.


QA: What’s something that someone might be surprised to learn about you? LH: My legal last name is Schaub.


QA: What’s your favorite part of volunteering for CAI?


LH: The interaction with other management companies, board members, and business partners.


QA: What’s the most important lesson you’ve learned working with community associations?


LH: Every community is unique and every board has their own personality.


QA: What is your proudest professional accomplishment? LH: Earning my PCAM in 2015.


QA: What is your proudest personal accomplishment? LH: Getting married after a 25-year engagement. QA: What’s your idea of perfect happiness? LH: A sunny beach with a marguerita in hand. QA: What’s your most treasured possession?


LH: My daughter. I own her, regardless of what she may think. QA: What is your greatest fear?

LH: Heights. QA: What is your greatest extravagance? LH: Holiday shopping QA: What talent would you most like to have? LH: A singing voice. QA: Where would you like to live? LH: A tropical island without a bridge.


 


QA: What is the quality you most like in another person? LH: Honesty and sincerity. QA: Who is your favorite fictional person? LH: The Energizer Bunny, never stops going! QA: What do you consider the most overrated virtue? LH: Self-control. Love my chardonnay and chocolate!


QA: If you were to die and come back as a person or thing, what do you think it would be? LH: A back-up singer in a band. Or a cat. QA: What sound do you hate? LH: The sound of cutting on aluminum foil.


QA: If Heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the Pearly Gates?


LH: Kick off your shoes and relax. You’re going to be here for awhile.
