MEMBER SPOTLIGHT

I can’t imagine being where I am now had I not been involved with NARSA/IDEA for more than 25 years. Would I have even survived? Would I have the contacts I have today? Before the internet search engine/ YouTube, you were very limited in all areas of knowledge, equipment, products and support. I also learned that self can’t always help self. I think of how often I talk to Bill at Aff ton Radiator in St. Louis, Bobby at Cooling Systems Caribe in Puerto Rico, Rory at Regis Radiator on the west bank of New Orleans. Just in the last week, we have had over a dozen conversations, text messages, emails and picture swapping. Neither one of us could have accomplished what we did in the time frame we did without each other. I would have never known those guys without NARSA/IDEA. This happened thousands of times in the last 25+ years!

Murphy’s Law (Expecting the Unexpected) happens almost every day. Freight you don’t need is always on time. Freight for a time sensitive job is always delayed. It never rains at the right time. Employees don’t call in sick at the right time. The week someone is on vacation is a busy week. You always get busy around a holiday. All the big work comes in at the same time. The day you are trying to leave work at 5:00 p.m. turns into a day you have 12 hours of work to do in 8. But no matter what, I will still be breathing at the end of the day. That is just part of being a business owner.
