WHY SHOULD I GO TO A WM ANNUAL MEETING?

interest me. (When I was a child, I was the one who REALLY did not like to walk in a straight line, circles were not great either!) However, a friend of mine kept urging me to go and when I did, no one was dressed up or sitting in a circle! Because I enjoyed circle, I kept at- tending and found that these women really supported each other. (It wasn’t a bad thing that there was fellowship and food too)! I became a circle leader, then president of the women at my church. But, I knew very little about Women’s Ministries beyond my church. One day, a lady from another ARP church asked me if I would accept  to do that, but what did I need to do? She replied that I should go to the First Presbyterial Annual Meeting and the ARPWM Annual Meeting. After I joined the board and attended several Annual Meetings, my eyes were opened to what I could learn and the joy that I would have fellowshipping with “sisters in Christ” from other churches. 

The 2024 ARPWM Annual Meeting will be held at Bonclarken on


Monday, July 29th. Your church should receive information and regis- tration forms in mid-May. There will be registration/check-in at Syn- odical Hall and a chance to buy next year’s study book, several inter- esting seminars, and much more! Bring ladies from your church and enjoy a day in the mountains. Notice the dates below for some of the Presbyterial Annual Meetings (for more information on those, contact your Presbyterial board or me and I will give you contact information). And, there are several other events listed which you would enjoy!

EVENTS FOR WOMEN AT SYNOD June 11-13, 2024 • Women’s Welcome is for all women at Synod. It will be held at Synodical Hall during Synod registration/check-in on Tuesday.


• Pastors’ Wives will meet on Wednesday in the Jean White Room from 9:30-11:00.


• Missionary ladies and Church Planters’ Wives will meet Wednes- day morning at 9:00 in Synodical Hall.


• Oasis will meet Wednesday afternoon from 2:00 - 4:00. May/June 2024
