ANNIVERSARY -

100

in Celebrating 100 Years

CHIP SHERER President

could not be damped by rain—they were all present to celebrate the Opening of this new place they were calling “Bonclarken” and what excitement must have been in the air. Could anyone in attendance that day have dreamed that 100 years later their vision of creating a “Christian environment for inspiration and renewal” would be alive and well and still holding strong to the vision of the founders? How blessed we are with our Godly heritage.

We have events and activities planned during 2022 as we celebrate Bonclarken’s 100th Anniversary. The key event is scheduled for Saturday, July 2, with lunch on the front lawn and a worship service in the Chapel, but other events and activities are scheduled as well. Read more on our website at www.bonclarken.org. Mark your calendar and make plans to join us for these joyous occasions. During 2022, I plan to write a series of ARP Magazine articles on Bonclarken’s development over the past 100 years

and share how the relationship with the ARP Church and Bonclarken started, developed, and flourished. I look forward to sharing stories from friends who have lived many of these years and witnessed first-hand Bonclarken’s growth and development into the year-round conference center we enjoy today. “I lift up my eyes to the hills – from where does my help come? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and

earth.” (Psalm 121:1-2) Generations of ARPs have lifted their eyes to the hills. We pray generations to come will

lift their eyes as well. I hope you will visit us often in 2022!?
