Camper Spotlight
Meet Anthony Sprowl, a camper that has been attending camp for many years. He loves being able to go down the zipline, getting pulled up the climbing tower and swimming. He is seen here with his counselors from this summer, Scott Lasso and Mark Hubbard
• Special friends (counselors) from past summers always try to visit Anthony the week that he attends.
• The thrill of the week is being able to see Anthony performing in the weekly camper talent show. It's a must see. There is not a dry eye in the room.
• Throughout the year Anthony gets visits from many of his counselors over years. They both enjoy the visits.
Summer 2023
Thank you so much for your continued support of Camp Joy North Carolina! We had a great summer this year, 123 campers attend, including 10 new campers. As you can tell by the videos and pictures on our website. They had a great time, learning about God’s word and meeting new friends for life in the process. Along with our campers, we had over 150 counselor and sta volunteers. Many of our sta serve at more than one of our four sessions. We would not be able to have camp without them. Ever since Camp Joy has been in existence we have been a camp that is funded by camper fees and donations from individuals and churches. Each year where the camper fees fall short. So we are very grateful for your support. If you are interested in volunteering or would like to visit during one of sessions next summer please let me know.

Year End Fundraising Opportunities • On going Brick Paver Fundraiser - Bricks are placed in the walkway at the Bonclarken Chapel.
• Help us meet our annual goal of $100,000. Each year we rely on donors to bridge the gap from our camper fees to actual cost. The approximate cost per camper is $1,500 making the gap $1,000. We are on our way to reaching our annual goal of $100,000. Help get us to the nish line!
CAMPERS
This summer we were able to have 10 NEW campers. We have a waiting list for North Carolina, so we were happy to see new faces and hope to see them again next summer.

COUNSELORS
While we serve those with intellectual disabilities, we also mentor and minister to our high school and college students that volunteer each summer. Each evening we have nightly devotions lead by our camp pastor, giving them a chance to grow spiritually.
FUNDRAISING
Since 1980 Camp Joy has been able to exist with camper fees and donations. In an effort to keep camp cost affordable we rely on donors like you to help bridge the gap. It cost approximately $1,500 per camper, after camper fees we have to raise the remaining $1,000.
