Reaching out in the darkness is not easy. And yet, isn’t that what our missionaries do? They go to foreign lands to spread the light of Jesus to people who have lived in darkness all of their lives. I’m sure that it can be  spread the gospel” should bring a sense of joy and contentment as well. ARP Women’s Ministries provides partial support to our two Birthday Ladies: Rebekah Carson and Shelia Osborne. Don’t forget to reach out to our missionaries! How can we reach out at home? We can spread God’s love to those in need in our communities by helping them with food, clothing, and our time. Fill bags for a backpack ministry at a local school with enough food for the weekend for students who might not be able to eat without that help. Collect food for local food banks. Clean out your closet and donate shoes and clothing to a homeless shelter. Start a food locker or a box library at your church and stock it for those in need nearby. Help to build a habitat house. Keep gift cards to local fast-food restaurants and give them to people you see on street corners or in parking lots who are holding signs for work or  neighbor who has been ill by taking them a meal or offering to run errands while they recuperate. 
