It was a frigid, winter night not so long ago.
A strong, icy wind blew over a world of snow.
It whispered through thick forests, past the nests of resting birds, and many a voice it heard.
A small, brown fawn asked its mother, “Will the sun never rise? Will night last forever? Will the dawn not arrive?”
The mother deer’s eyes sparkled as she gazed upon her fawn.
“Don’t worry, dear,” she whispered, “Darkness will soon be gone.”
Meanwhile, in a cozy den not so far away,
a furry bear cub sighed,
“Mommy, is winter here to stay?” The sleepy mother bear
yawned and answered, “No, my dear.
Warm days of laughter and play are coming. Spring will soon be here.”
Down in the village,
a mother tucked her son into bed. She said softly, “Good night,” and she gently kissed his head.
Suddenly, the little boy asked, “Mother, will there always be sin?
Will there always be sadness, sickness, and death? Will evil always win?”
The loving mother’s eyes teared up, But she joyfully answered, “No! Jesus has fought and destroyed all sin. As Christians, we have hope!”
All night long, the wind blew on “Jesus is with us, my friends!” It sang, “He has rescued us from darkness!”
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.” – John 3:16 “And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” – Matthew 28:20
