wood’s dad looked at him and said, “What’s on your mind, son? You look sort of upset. Was there something that happened at Sunday School or church that upset you today?” Sherwood answered his dad by telling him about what happened this
and said that they could go on Sunday morning early. Sherwood told him, “I’ll be in church for Sunday School and then the church worship service.” His friend said, “Why do you do that all the time? Fishing will be a great way to spend Sun- day out on the pond in the sunshine. You don’t have to spend all your time reading and hear- ing about the Bible. Truthfully, that old book looks to me like a big waste of time. It’s full of
all those rules! Do this and don’t do that. I don’t want any more rules. I want less of them. I’ve got enough!” His dad said, “Sherwood, don’t you remember when you got that kit to build a big red airplane?” Sherwood said, “I do!” Dad continued, “And do you remember what happened?” Sherwood looked down and said, “I do! I couldn’t get it put together at all!” Dad said, “And do you remember why you couldn’t make it work?” “Yes,” said Sherwood. “I tried to put it together without reading the instructions. I even wadded them up and threw them away!” Dad continued, “When you try to live your life without the Bible to guide you, it’s like throwing away the instructions we get
from God about how we should put our lives together. The results are like that. Just like the little airplane became the pile of un- “Yes, said Sherwood, now I understand what the little song means. I wish everyone did”

the movie! Here are just a few popular games which I have enjoyed. • Charades • Pictionary • Monopoly • Apples to Apples • Jenga
The Creative Touches It is always fun to decorate for a special evening – even if it is simply a casual night with family. Here are a few ways to add
some extra creativity to your movie night – whether you are inviting many guests or just a handful. • Movie Posters – Create posters of the movie (or movies) you would like to watch! You can use a posterboard or just plain paper. Hang your works of art where they can be admired by all the guests.
• Ticket Invitations – Trace the shape of a large ticket onto a piece of cardstock paper and cut it out. Copy your movie night information onto the ticket: tell when, where, and what time your gathering is taking place. Decorate with drawings and/or stickers. Then make more tickets and hand them out to family and friends.
• Photo Booth – Set up a fun backdrop in a corner along with a few dress-up props. Keep a camera handy so guests can take pictures! Have fun!
