Weather outlook Early look at U.S. summer weather A


nother hotter than normal summer is expected across North America this year, with the most significant


heat expected across the Northeast, eastern Midwest and the West.


June is expected to be the warmest month relative to normal across the central United States, with the hottest temperatures favoring the western United States during July, particularly in the Great Basin.


Hotter weather is expected across the eastern third of the United States during August, particularly in the Mid-Atlantic, with slightly below normal temperatures expected across the northern Plains and the Canadian Prairies.
