CORNELL AGRICULTURAL PUMPS BEST IN CLASS EFFICIENCY
Chinese Irrigation Association visits IA
The head of the Irrigation Association of China, Xu Fuchu, visited the Irrigation Associa- tion offices this past spring. The leaders talked about having U.S. representation at the first China International Irrigation Summit on Nov. 1. This summit will be hosted by the irrigation branch of the China Agricul- tural Machinery Distribution Association in Qingdao, Shan- dong, China, during the 2019 China International Agricultural Machinery Exhibition. The theme for the summit is how modern irrigation technologies and equipment improve agri- cultural production efficiency.
Over two years ago, the IA licensed the use of Irrigation, Sixth Edition, the association’s flagship technical manual, so it could be translated into Chinese. This project has been completed, and the new Chinese edition was published this year.

Students pursing irrigation- related degrees at post- secondary institutions are encouraged to apply for the 2020 Irrigation Association scholarship program. Appli- cations open starting Oct. 15, with a Feb. 15 deadline. Schol- arships range from $1,000 to $2,500. Go to
