SIR goes to the Hill for 2023 SIR Congressional Fly-in


SIR members met with congressional representatives on Capitol Hill as part of an ongoing eff ort to educate legislators about the value of IR and the challenges facing patient populations. The fl y-in kicked off with a working dinner on Dec. 5, where participants were updated on solutions to improve access and effi ciency in IR for patients and communities. Rep. John Joyce, MD, R-Pa., joined the dinner to bring his input from the House Energy and Commerce Committee. On Dec. 6, the participants met with members of Congress and hosted a luncheon with Reps. Mike Burgess, MD, R-Texas, and Brent Wenstrup, D.P.N., R-Ohio.
