DB: In addition to formal programs such as residencies or fellowships that focus on interventional musculoskeletal procedures, training may also be obtained in industry-, society- and foundation-sponsored courses. Credentialing to be able to perform these procedures can sometimes be difficult to obtain given the wide variety of specialties performing these procedures along with the heterogeneity of the education, training and experience of physicians performing SI joint fusions.
