THE NALP EXPERIENCE NALP Congratulates NCLC Winners


The 2019 National Collegiate Landscape Competition, held March 20-23 in Fort Collins, Colorado, where more than 60 schools and 800 students took part in competitive events like hardscape projects, design/ build sales presentations and plant identification, came to a close with Brigham-Young University – Provo taking first place for the second year in a row.


In second place came Brigham-


Young University – Idaho, and in third place was Cuyahoga Community College. Frank Vareska from Cuyahoga Community College finished as the top scoring student, while Colin Schulte from North Dakota State University finished second. In third place was Bradley Hill from Brigham Young Uni- versity – Idaho.


Along with the competition, there was a career fair where landscape professionals presented their compa- nies to students looking for potential internships and jobs. Also, industry companies and equipment manufac- turers awarded more than $100,000 in scholarship donations.
