the Australian Spinal Research Foundation (ASRF) and APCJ, as you know, since you are an ASRF author and have participated in the case study project as one of our American authors.

Yes, the Averio Health team has published fourteen case studies with assistance from the ASRF and the APCJ, and we are grateful for the opportunity to do so. By supporting chiropractic research, what do you hope the profession looks like in the next decade? Dr. Ebrall: I hope we see a rapidly growing chiropractic profession that is better equipped to serve the global population. I hope we see thousands of offices like yours that are conducting practice-based research and publishing their findings, and that this research is immediately accessible to practitioners worldwide in their own languages.

How could a chiropractor in Washington state get involved with APCJ? Dr. Ebrall: Read what is being published and, when you are ready, write. There are many forms of writing; there are people reading this article who have a philosophy they want to talk about; there will be some who want to talk about an approach to practice - write the article, and you will help many others who have similar ideas as yours. If you have clinical cases, submit them through the ASRF case study project.

What are the most important thoughts for Washington state chiropractors as we bring this interview to a close? Dr. Ebrall: Be open with your expectations and dream bigger than you can imagine. Chiropractic, when thoughtfully applied, monitored, and measured, can do things that you are incapable of imagining; you will see outcomes that are unbelievable, and all I can do is encourage you, the reader, the doctor, the passionate

healthcare provider, to do the very best at being BIGGER than the rules allow.

A Philosophy of Chiropractic — examination of chiropractic as a discipline, distinguishing “chiropractic philosophy” (self- belief) from “the philosophy of chiropractic” (scientific/critical examination.

The Chiropractic Subluxation — the discipline’s enigma with the clinical imperative to reconcile a mechanical, material, and clinical intervention with a target that may not be material or physical, producing clinical outcomes in neuroplasticity and neurophysiological change.
