Robert Silverman, DC, DACBN, DCBCN, MS, CCN, CSCS, CIISN, CKTP, CES, HKC, FAKTR provides a preview in this issue to his upcoming seminar in June, with the article “Immunity, Longevity and Healthy Aging.” Dr. Silverman is a chiropractic doctor, clinical nutritionist, national/international


speaker, author of Amazon’s #1 bestseller “Inside Out Health” and founder and CEO of Westchester Integrative Health Center. He graduated magna cum laude from the University of Bridgeport College of Chiropractic and has a Masters of Science in human nutrition. The ACA Sports Council named Dr. Silverman “Sports Chiropractor of the Year” in 2015. Dr. Silverman is on the advisory board for the Functional Medicine University and is a seasoned health and wellness expert on both the speaking circuits and the media. Vanessa Wise, DC has a passion for helping people recover from tramatic brain injury (TBI) and post-concussion syndrome that comes from her own experience of recovery. She was in a terrible car crash that left her with debilitating migraines and vertigo. At


the suggestion of a co-worker she tried chiropractic care. Able to make a complete recovery, she decided to become a chiropractor with a focus on TBI and post concussive patients. Since graduating from chiropractic college, Dr. Wise has been studying TBI and its consequences. She is certified by the CDC in concussion diagnosis and protocols, has taught postgraduate seminars on TBI and its role in mental illness as well as seminars on the dynamics of soft tissue injury as it relates to brain trauma. She maintains a focus on the brain in practice and works with two other chiropractors. In this issue, she shares her journey to chiropractic and an update on the Chiropractic Quality Assurance Commission, of which she is the current chairperson.
