When it comes to charitable concerts, it’s hard to beat the irresistible charm and high energy of an 80’s cover band. The Reflexx, known for their spot-on renditions of decade- defining hits, took center stage at Cooks Corner for the fourth annual benefit concert supporting the California Legislative Action Committee (CLAC). With neon lights, synth beats, and a whole lot of heart, the night proved to be an unforgettable fusion of nostalgia and philanthropy.
As the sun set on the picturesque venue, Cooks Corner transformed into a vibrant homage to the 1980s. The concert was more than just a flashback to the golden era of pop and rock; it was a celebration with a purpose. The Reflexx’s performance was part of the fourth annual fundraising event for CLAC, an organization dedicated to advocating for and educating the local legislators about sensible HOA laws in California. Over the years, this concert has become a key fundraising effort for CLAC, helping the organization advance its mission of promoting fair and transparent HOA governance.
The evening concluded with a heartwarming thank-you speech from OC Legislative Support Committee Co-chairs, Jamie Gould and Jen Parker who expressed their gratitude for the generosity of those who attended and contributed. The funds raised will go towards continuing CLAC’s efforts to educate homeowners, advocate for fair policies, and
ensure that California’s HOA laws are just and effective. The Buck A Door campaign is the best way for associations to help support CLAC. Ask a Legislative Support Committee member for more information on why associations should donate one dollar per door each year to ensure our local legislators understand the consequences of their legislation and how it affects HOAs.
As attendees left Cooks Corner, the air was filled with the lingering echoes of 80s hits and the satisfaction of having supported a worthy cause. The Reflexx not only delivered a night of unforgettable music but also proved that the spirit of giving can be as timeless as the tunes they played. A special thank you to Denise, Brandon, and all the volunteers that help make this event possible each year.
Here’s to another year of rocking for a reason and making a difference—one epic concert at a time.
