Hercules


also known as Heracles in Greek mythology – is known for his superhuman strength and humility. His life was not easy, as he was constantly plagued by the wrath of his step-mother, Hera, the wife of Zeus. Her spells caused Hercules to do some unimaginable things. He begged Apollo, the god of truth and healing, to give him 12 heroic tasks in an effort to make amends. In the end, Hercules was absolved of his guilt and rewarded with eternal life among the gods at Mount Olympus.


Most residents are not participating in a fitness program to gain Herculean strength or superhuman power; most are engaging in regular exercise to support health and wellness goals, enhance sports performance, or support activities of daily living.
